Silversea woos Solo Travellers with lower supplements

Silversea Cruises is reducing its single supplement on many of its sailings to between 10% and 25% above the per person fare on double occupancy.

The rates will apply to sailings in Vista, Verandah and mid-ship Verandah suites.

Silversea says its Solo Travellers fares, which were introduced on a small amount of 2010 itineraries, have attracted the singles market so it will now offer them across 20 sailings.

Managing director UK and Ireland Trudi Redfern said:

With special fares like these, which can be combined with Silver Savings, Free Air and $250 Shipboard Credit offers, there’s no excuse for single travellers to stay at home

Redfern added that Silversea’s Gentleman Hosts also provided a real benefit for single female guests.
